AviationGuesser is an aviation guesser: a browser game where you are shown a real aircraft in flight and asked to work out where it is going to land. No simulator, no controls, no runway. Just the aircraft, the numbers it is broadcasting, and a map of every airport on the planet.

Built for the people who already look up

If you know why a 737 MAX 8 shows up on a transatlantic route and a regular 737-800 does not, this game is aimed squarely at you. If you do not, the game will teach you, because the answers repeat. Hub geography, aircraft ranges and the shape of airline networks are all learnable, and every round is another data point.

Charters slice the flight pool into themed sets when you want a narrower problem. Europe only. North America only. Long haul only. Freight only. Each one changes what the clues are worth, because a heading means something very different over a continent with two hundred airports than it does over one with twenty.

A logbook that remembers everything

Every flight you call is stamped and stored. Airports visited, distance covered, direct hits, best round, current streak, longest streak. The profile page is the record, the leaderboard is the ranking, and the stats page breaks it down by aircraft type and region.

Progress runs entirely on the server. Nothing about your score is calculated in the browser, which means the leaderboard is a leaderboard and not a list of whoever edited their local storage most creatively.

What a round feels like

The map settles somewhere over open water or an unfamiliar coastline. A boarding pass slides in with an airframe silhouette, a heading and a speed. You trace the heading forward, discount everything out of range, and start narrowing. The clock is at forty. You have it down to two airports nine hundred kilometres apart and no way to separate them.

You pin one. The camera pulls back, the real route draws itself across the map, and the stamp lands. Sometimes it is a direct hit. More often it is close enough to sting.
