Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you play AviationGuesser on the website or in the app, and what we do with it.

1. What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and the sign-in details from the method you choose: email, Google, Apple, or Facebook.
• Profile. The callsign and avatar you pick.
• Gameplay. Your guesses, scores, XP, streaks, badges, and when you play.
• Pro status. Whether you have Pro, your plan, and when it renews. We never see or store your card details. The store or payment provider you subscribe through handles the payment.
• Notifications. If you turn on reminders in the app, a device token so we can send them.
• Device and usage data. Basic technical details, such as your device type, app version, and IP address, and which parts of the game you use.

2. How we use it

We use your data to run the game: to sign you in, save your progress across devices, run the leaderboards, send the reminders you turned on, stop cheating and abuse, and make the game better.

We may also combine gameplay and usage data into aggregated or de-identified statistics, and use or share those statistics for research, analysis, and commercial purposes. These statistics do not identify you.

3. Services we rely on

• Google Firebase and Google Cloud. Sign-in, database, and hosting.
• Flight data networks. Live aircraft positions from public ADS-B receivers. We send them no personal data.
• Maps and imagery. OpenStreetMap-based maps, satellite imagery from Esri, and airport photos from Wikimedia Commons. When your device loads these, the provider receives a standard web request, which includes your IP address.
• Google Fonts. On the website, fonts load from Google's servers.
• Payments. The store or payment provider you subscribe through, and RevenueCat, which helps us manage subscriptions.
• Advertising. On the website, Google AdSense shows ads and uses cookies to measure and personalise them. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we ask for your consent first. In the app, Google AdMob shows ads that you choose to watch for a reward. Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
• Ad measurement. In the app, the Meta (Facebook) SDK tells Meta when the app is installed, opened, or a subscription is bought, so we can see which of our ads work. On iPhone, Meta uses your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. Learn more at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

4. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is open. In the app, you can delete your account and its data at any time from the You tab, then Account. You can also email us and we will delete it within 30 days.

5. Children

AviationGuesser is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us their data, email us and we will delete it.

6. Changes

We may update this policy as the game changes. When we make an important change, we will update the date at the top.
